Landlord and Tenant Rights and Responsibilities
questions & answers
Question: I received notice that my landlord would not be renewing my lease. When asked no answer was given. I am trying to stay where I am. Moving will cause a hardship if not homelessness for me and my family. What can I do? Anything?
Answer: Unfortunately, other than in mobile home parks, where special rules apply, residential landlords here in Arizona are not required to renew their rental agreements with their tenants when a lease period ends. They are required only to provide their tenants with 30 days’ written notice.
