Landlord and Tenant Rights and Responsibilities
questions & answers
Question: What happens if damage to the property is greater than 1/2 months rent or greater than $300 and the landlord wont fix the issue caused by weather?
Answer: This would depend upon the nature of the damage. If it considered "material" then according to the Landlord/Tenant Act you can provide written notice to the Landlord specifying the breach and indicating that if it is not remedied within ten days the rental agreement will terminate.
