Landlord and Tenant Rights and Responsibilities

questions & answers

Question: Can the property management group force me to pay my rent only on their website and charge me to do it?

Answer: Generally a rental agreement is a contractual obligation between the tenant or tenants and the property owner or management group. This obligation can be enforced by either party. The rental agreement should be reviewed for methods of acceptable payment of rent owed. If the rental agreement is not being followed, then an attorney should be consulted as to the proper course of action.
