Question: How can I get help ? I have a neighboring tentant and they keep harrasing me. I don't know them or know their names. I've reported complaints to manager about them throwing large amounts of cigarettes at my door- even leaving them burning at my door step. There is a 10 day notice that has passed and they continue the harrassment..
Answer: The following is provided for general information only. To find out how the law applies to a specific situation, please contact an attorney directly. An Injunction Against Harassment may be filed by a verified petition with a magistrate, justice of the peace or superior court judge according to ARS 12-1809. The petition should include, according to section C, the name of the plaintiff, the plaintiff’s address may be concealed, and the name and address of the defendant, if known. It should also include a specific statement detailing events and dates of the acts constituting the alleged harassment and the name of the court in which there was or is any prior or pending proceeding or order concerning the conduct that is sought to be restrained. The petition should also include the relief requested by the plaintiff. Section D addresses service of the petition and any applicable fees. Forms and resources can be found at the local courthouse in the county or their website. A link to the local courthouse website may be found on AZLawHelp.org.
