Foreclosure
questions & answers
Question: our home has foreclosed and we are threatened with lock out. how do we find out what court will handle the notifications?
Answer: If the home foreclosed and a Trustee Sale incurred, they will be sending you a notice. This paper will provide the date and time of the trustee sale. After the Trustee's Sale, the home belongs to the lender or the person who bought it at the sale. Once your house is sold, you are no longer the owner of the property and must remove your personal items from the residence and leave. You may want to contact the trustee or bank to find out who is handling the notification or contact an attorney for more information.
