Question: I am going through an eviction brought on by a foreclosure of my property. The writ of restitution is being sent today to the process server as the attornys handling the eviction are in Maricopa county. My question is this; will the paperwork be filed on Tuesday next as this is a holiday week-end or can the process server actually file the writ on a Saturday? I am just trying to see how much time I have as I am in the process of vacating anyway.

Answer:

Typically, courts are closed on Saturdays.  You should check with the court at issue as to the days/times court filings are accepted.  Also, check with the process server about when s/he intends to file the document.
