Eviction
questions & answers
Question: I have a throw cloth over my window, the office called me today and said i had to remove or, then would evict me if I did not take it off the window. the blinds that are on the window is no good
Answer: Ordinarily, a tenant may only be evicted (rather than merely not have a rental agreement renewed) for “material noncompliance with the rental agreement”; “noncompliance materially threatening health or safety”; or “a breach that is both material and irreparable” (A.R.S. 33-1368(A)). However, it would be wise for you to discuss your rights and responsibilities with an attorney before your landlord attempts to follow through on their threat.
