Question: My boyfriend and I are both on an apartment lease agreement. I went out of town to visit my sister for summer. When I was ready to come back home I was told boyfriend moved out of apartment and he let 3 of his friends move in and A dog. Can I just call police and have them removed

Answer: You may wish to contact the landlord ASAP to ask the landlord about what (if any) formal arrangements your boyfriend made to move out and have others move in. If your original lease remains in effect and these friends are not named in that rental agreement, then perhaps the landlord somehow permitted your boyfriend to sublease his “half,” but, if you and your boyfriend were renting the same shared space together, then that would require not only your landlord’s permission but yours as well.
