Question: My husband and I have been remting a room from a friend for 3 months now upon verbal rental agreement of $10 daily and we have never missed payment but also never got receipts. Now our friend wants us out to move another couple in because they are willing to pay more.what could we do bout at least getting a 30 day notice?
Answer: According to ARS 33-1375, “The landlord or the tenant may terminate a month-to-month tenancy by a written notice given to the other at least thirty days prior to the periodic rental date specified in the notice.” The “periodic rental date” is the beginning of the next rental term.
