questions & answers

Question: My apartment complex is threatening to evict me because I do not personal/insurance information on a non-tenant that caused damage to the property, even though the non-tenant paid to have it repaired the same day of damage. Can the aparment complex evict me?

G. For the purposes of this chapter, the tenant shall be held responsible for the actions of the tenant's guests that violate the lease agreement or rules or regulations of the landlord if the tenant could reasonably be expected to be aware that such actions might occur and did not attempt to prevent those actions to the best of the tenant's ability. *This is for informational purposes only, you may want to contact an attorney for advice.*
