Question: I recently found out a ex friend of mine has six different aliases for a name and uses two different names to go into hospitals to claim illnesses like cancer to get medications what would her penalty be if I turned her in, we're would I turn her in
Answer: The Arizona Department of Public Safety encourages witnesses to report criminal activity to further its goals, such as safety and protection of citizens (http://www.azdps.gov/Services/Tips/) However, because the stages of an alleged criminal case are determined by different functions within the judicial system, it is impossible to know whether particular conduct reported by a witness qualifies as a crime, whether a prosecuting attorney’s office will investigate the matter reported, whether criminal charges will be filed or whether the person reported will be found guilty and even if that happens, what criminal penalties might be imposed.
