Question: The landlord has not made requested repairs, leaking plumbing. He now threatens to evict us. What do I have as options, being a Vietnam vet?
Answer:
The landlord can only evict in certain situations where there is a written lease in effect. Additionally the landlord has certain responsibilities to the tenant, including providing adequate and working plumbing. If the landlord does not abide by his responsibilities there are numerous remedies. For more information on tenant rights see the articles under the Landlord Tenant section of AZLawHelp, or visit the Maricopa County Justice Courts - Evictions web page.
