Question: ive been working as a delivery driver for the same company for 6 yrs. now. is it true that they have to give me 2 weeks paid vacation by law? they currently only give me 7 days.

Answer: Generally, the amount of paid vacation time is between an employee and an employer. The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) does not require payment for time not worked, such as vacations, sick leave, federal holidays or any other holidays. However, for certain government contracts, vacation pay may be required. You can view the information regarding vacation time on the Department of Labor's website. You can also view the Fair Labor Standards Act through the Department of Labor's website.
