Wills
questions & answers
Question: My father recently moved to AZ; however, his Will was written (through an Attorney) while he was living in the state of Washington. Is his Will legal in AZ? Is there anything further he needs to do?
Answer: Arizona recognizes a Will from another state, so long as the Will was created in compliance with that state's laws. Since your father's will was written by an attorney in Washington, it is more than likely that it complies with Washington's laws on Wills, making it valid in Arizona.
