Question: If I try and get a restraining order for my 17 year old daughter against her boyfriend, can she deny it because she is 17 ?
Answer: Arizona Rules of Protective Order Procedure state that
Parent, Legal Guardian, or Legal Custodian of Minor. If the person in need of protection is a minor, then the parent, legal guardian or
person who has legal custody of the minor shall file the petition unless the court determines otherwise. The petition shall name the parent, guardian, or custodian as the plaintiff, and the minor as a specifically designated person.
