Question: I am on probation for 2 misdemeanors. My wife accepted a job in Nevada and I have been offered one with the same company. How can I get my probation transferred to Nevada. Please don't tell me to ask my PO as he has stated that my wife has to be in Nevada for 6 months before Nevada would agree to transferring my probation. I have not been able to find any evidence that this statement is true. I was also told I am not eligible for Interstate Compact treatment. Please help.

Answer: You can review information from the Common Interstate Transfer website.  It appears you will have to work with your PO on this.  According to the site, it appears your wife would need to have resided there for 180 days - thus 6 months.  http://www.interstatecompact.org/About/NavigatingtheCompact/CommonQuestions.aspx '
