Expunging or sealing records
questions & answers
Question: I had a conviction of meadsteaminor shoplifting in 2003 and had it set aside in 2004. still i am having problem finding a job. my question is can i have my conviction seal for good behavior.
Answer:
The following is provided for general information only. To find out how the law applies to a specific situation, contact an attorney directly. Unfortunately court records may not be sealed except in cases involving juveniles. A set aside does not erase or expunge a record, and anyone who does a public records search may view the file.
