Question: I want to know if AHCCCS will cover a cataract surgery? I was told I need it in both eyes!

Answer: You may want to visit the www.azleg.state.az.us to access the Arizona Revised Statutes. Beginning at A.R.S. §36-2901 and ending at §36-2929, you will find the actual statutes regarding AHCCCS. There you will find information on eligibility and qualified commercial carriers. Under A.R.S . §36-2907, you can find covered health and medical services. You may want to review section A, paragraph 7 of this statute which states the following "For persons who are at least twenty-one years of age, treatment of medical conditions of the eye excluding eye examinations for prescriptive lenses and the provision of prescriptive lenses."
