Question: Is my 16 year old daughter legally able to decide which parent she lives with?
Answer: She is still a minor, so it is still up to the court to decide. However, most courts will take the wishes of a 16 year old into consideration. If the home situation in the homes of both parents are equally suitable, the court will often allow a child of 16 to select her choice.
