Domestic Violence
questions & answers
Question: I have an ex boyfriend that I work with. He has threatened me, harassed me and my roommates at and outside of work, and has stolen things from me. I have brought it up to our boss who talked with him and warned him not to contact me but I am still afraid to go to work. What can I do?
Answer: There are three different types of orders of protection: the first is an injunction against harassment, which does not depend on the type of relationship that you have with the other party, the second is an order of protection which requires a person to have had a specific type of relationship with a person and the third is an injunction against workplace harassment which is filed by an employer to stop workplace harassment. More information about each type of order can be found here along with information on how to get each type of protection: http://www.superiorcourt.maricopa.gov/SuperiorCourt/ProtectiveOrderCenter/index.asp.
