questions & answers
Question: Removing personal belongings from my residence?
Answer: If you have an order of protection against you and have been forced to leave your residence you may request to collect your belongings by asking a judicial officer during your hearing. If the judicial officer allows you to get your things then you will be escorted by a law enforcement officers to your home and get only those items that there is no dispute over. Otherwise you may bring a civil lawsuit for any disputed items or items you did not get while at the home.
