Question: i can get a free lawyer but I already divorced. he has parkinsons and is on disability so I have o pay for his classes because he gets only $1061 but that is too much for acchess how can I get free cousilingy
Answer: Since you do not clarify what type of counseling is needed, I am going to address Domestic Violence counseling. If you are looking for counseling for the abuser (and he may have been ordered by the court to attend counseling) there are several places to look into. Below are the names and phone numbers for counseling in Maricopa County: Family Service Agency - 602-264-9891 Impact - Westside Social Services (VORD) - Scottsdale Justice Services - 480-949-8871 Organization for Non-Violence Education (ONE) - 623-934-0696 (anger management) Value Options Crisis Hotline - 602-222-9444 If you are outside of Maricopa County you can search using www.azlawhelp.org by county under the topic Family and children/Domestic Violence. While the agencies may charge for sessions, they may be able to assist with a payment plan. You can also search for counseling for the victim by county. There are many resources, but if you have difficulties finding something near you, I suggest you contact the Arizona Coalition to End Sexual & Domestic Violence at: 800-782-6400.
