questions & answers
Question: how can I find out if an order of protection was served?
Answer: Since only a law enforcement agency or a registered process server can serve the order of protection, you would need to contact whoever was to serve the Order on the person. They would be able to tell you when and how it was served. It is important that you keep a copy of your OP/IAH and Declaration of Service with you at all times. This is your proof that such an order has been issued against the defendant. Your OP/IAH is good for one year from the date of service on the defendant.
