questions & answers
Question: How do I get the status of my divorce? My husband filed and said he took care of everything and I didn't need to do anything.
Answer: You can call the court in your county to see if your divorce has been filed, and the status of the divorce. To find the court in your county, you can go to the Arizona Supreme Court's court locator. You will need to sign the divorce decree before the divorce is final. Please make sure you completely read and understand the divorce decree prior to signing, because it will be a binding contract between you and your ex-husband. You may want to also read the Self-Service Guide for Divorce Cases written by the Superior Court of Arizona. It is an excellent, user-friendly guide to understanding the divorce process and legal requirements in Arizona.
