Divorce & Annulment

questions & answers

Question: I was married in Texas and left Texas due to irreconsilable differences and intend to apply for a divorce. There isn't any property involved or financial responsibility, and we both want the divorce. 1. Can I file for divorce without and attorney? 2. Where do I get the necessary papers to begin the divorce procedure.

Answer: I assume from your question that you are currently living in Arizona.  If so, you can file for divorce on your own.  Go to https://www.azcourts.gov/selfservicecenter, look under family law in the self service center.  There you will find the petition for dissolution of marriage and instructions for filing and serving your petition.  You will also find information on court fees and how to serve the documents.
