Question: Father is on medical leave and claims he has no funds or getting any disability is he still suppose to pay. What do I do to get by I count on the support to live

If child support or spousal maintenance has gone unpaid, you may want to contact the court who issued the court order. A.R.S § 25-327, permits an Arizona court to modify or terminate spousal maintenance or child support ONLY upon proof of changed circumstances that are both *substantial* and *continuing." Until the child support or spousal maintenance court order is modified, the current order must be followed.

You may want to look at the forms available for modification through your local superior court. There is also a form available online through the Arizona Supreme Court. If change in a support order will greatly affect you, you may wish to speak with an attorney to explore your options.
