Child Support
questions & answers
Question: My husband ex spouse is threating to have me and him pay for child support since I am the one who makes the most income will I have to pay child support for his kids?
Answer: Arizona law is fairly clear on this issue. The 2018 Arizona Child Support Guidelines provide detailed information about child support obligations. Page 5, paragraph F states: "Only income of persons having a legal duty of support shall be treated as income under the guidelines. For example, income of a parent's new spouse is not treated as income of that parent." Your income will not be considered, only the father's income.
