Child Support
questions & answers
Question: If the custodial Parent is not living within the same residence as the minor ( they have moved them on thier own) should they be allowed to collect Child support.
Answer: Normally, only a custodial parent will receive child support. Whenever a change has occurred in child custody or support, then it is possible to seek a modification to the order by either going to court and requesting for a change or contacting DCSS at (602) 252-4045 or (800) 882-4151 to request a change. To find more information consult the Arizona Child Support Guidelines (http://www.azcourts.gov/Portals/31/Child%20Support/CSG2004.pdf). To find out how the law applies to a specific situation, contact an attorney directly. http://azlawhelp.org/articles_info.cfm?mc=1&sc=1&articleid=129
