Question: What are the obligations of the obligee if she has an existing college degree and all children are in school all day? Is there any requirement that she get a job? She is not in an education or training program.

Answer:

- The Arizona court’s website, contains a link to the Arizona Child Support Guidelines, also found here . Page 4 section E states in part, “If a parent is unemployed or working below full earning capacity, the court may consider the reasons. If earnings are reduced as a matter of choice and not for reasonable cause, the court may attribute income to a parent up to his or her earning capacity. (See Section E on page four for full text).

According to ARS 25-522(a) , an obligor may contest an enforcement action by the department or its agent by filing a request for administrative review.
