Question: I'm a Deaf single mother with a Deaf 12 year old daughter. We moved here in 2007 to escape from the biological father who physically abused us. We never married. I went to Illinois court in 2005 or 2006 to remove father from birth certificate and change to my last name. We live here in Arizona for 10 years. Just today he filed papers against me for paternity, custody, and child support. We never received child support from him in 10 years. He along with his father and brother are of Pakistani origin have history of violence. His ex gf went through same thing. What to do?
