Child Custody
questions & answers
Question: What does "Undesignated" mean when it is under the EVENT TITLE on the Docket for the Judges calendar for a Return hearing in a family court case??
Answer: When the clerk's office enters an event on its calendar, it will often enter a code to define a certain event. Sometimes, the subheading for the event has no match in the code list, so the computer essentially punts and records "Undesignated." An entry like that means little (if anything) concerning the merits of your case, and it should not keep you awake at night!
