Question: Me and my ex have joint custody. I live in bisbee and he lives in sierra vista .He has memorial weekend and the following week with our son which he intends to take his vacation week. He is refusing telling me where hes taking vacation and I'm afraid hes taking him to california since hes taken him before without letting me know and that's where his girlfriends family lives. I'm afraid that my son is going to be more exposed to the corona virus. His father does not take the disease seriously. Is there a way to prevent him from going until the pandemic is over or atleast slowed down

Answer: You may not have enough time to petition the court on this issue.  Cooperation between parents is essential during uncertain times like these.  There is no simple or definitive legal answer in this situation. You do have the right to petition the court about future visits and ask that your ex not be permitted to take the child out of state until the COVID-19 crisis is over.
