Child Custody
questions & answers
Question: Can I assume custody of my two little brothers if I am in the military and if so how do I go about do it?
Answer: Without knowing the circumstance of wanting custody of two little brothers, you may be able to file for guardianship of the children. Guardianship will give you ability to provide medical/dental care when needed, enroll the children in school, etc. If you are in Maricopa or Pima County, you can go to their website http://www.superiorcourt.maricopa.gov/SuperiorCourt/Self-ServiceCenter/ to download the forms for guardianship. You may want to check out LawforVeterans.org. They have information on family issues. You can also ask for assistance with an attorney through LawforVeterans.org or you can call 866-637-5341 to see if you qualify for reduced fee on an attorney.
