Child Custody
questions & answers
Question: I am from Texas and had 2 children which reside in Texas with my ex. I want to know how can i get visitstion rights, where to file, and if I can get them during school breaks. The reason I ask is because i went back to Texas to visit them and my ex didn't let me see them and she won't even answer my phone calls.
Answer: If the child custody and visitation was ordered in Texas, then you would need to file with the courts. You may need to contact Community Legal Services in Texas to find out what your rights are and how to go about filing. If Arizona was where the custody and visitation orders were filed, you can go to the Superior Court's website and look for the self help centers forms. You can proceed to file the papers there. You may also need to seek the help of an attorney. Go to http://www.azlawhelp.org/viewresults.cfm?mc=1&sc=1 for more information and article related to child custody and visitation.
