QUESTIONS

  • We bought a manufactured home in a 55+ community and out next door neighbor is running a “workshop” next door. We are unable to enjoy our home in the evening due to his sawing metal, compressors, and loud banging well into the night. It sounds like we have a factory in our living room. Our property manager has tried to make him stop but he continues to keep us awake with his noise and is EXTREMELY defensive if he is asked to stop. We do not have the money to relocate our home, what else can we do?

  • I rent a single family home in Tucson Arizona and over the years the roof has sustained significant water damage due to negligence and poor construct. We recently received heavy rainfall and the roof leaked, causing the ceiling to collapse into the home. Landlord sent two roofing companies to inspect the roof, both said it’s unsafe but did not use the word uninhabitable so therefore landlord will not break lease. He has contracted for roof replacement but that means we are still in the home with various cracks through out the ceiling. Can I get my own evaluation done and get out of this lease?
  • Can a homeowner successfully negotiate a loan remodification with its lender or should they consult an attorney?
  • Hi, my kids and I I live and take care of my mom and dad and I make sure my father gets to his appts, takes pills etc, and my moms on hospice and i am both the medical power of attorney for them. I am the youngest of 8 and I fear that is something happens to my parents and their home is under my dad and brother that comes around every cpl days for a bit then leaves. Is there or should I do something now before its too late in order for us not to be in the street after parents pass. I pay all the bills and property taxes and I dont want the place under my name I just dont want my brother to get mad cuz he drinks and gets dumb and threatens to kick us off his property for telling him not to drink here. Now us is myself and 3 daughters. we all take care of my parents.
  • Is there any method for transferring a case from one jurisdiction to another with a veterans court? I had a DUI in the west mesa district court, and need any options to use the benefits and treatment options within the VA court system.
  • If I'm on SS/Disability and don't get paid until the 3rd of every month can my apartment manager charge me a late fee for paying rent on the third not the first of the month? I had been told by the previous manager that it's illegal for him to do so. Now the new/current manager says that he (previous Mgr) was wrong, misinformed. I need to get a straight answer. Not the he said, she said that happening. Thank you for your help
  • Do I have to renew an order of protection in the court that ordered it or can it be done through any justice court?
  • I was living at my father's house with my family lease and rent free. There was a fire and everything was destroyed. He has 20000 in personal property damage coverage. The insurance company is refusing to pay for our belongings because they said he isn't residing there. If he is receiving mail there and has a utility on in his name at that address and the bill is mailed to him at the same address is that considered as him residing there?
  • Are the lenders able to work with you even if your only 1 month behind. they sent us a letter giving us a certain date to catch up and what would happen if this didn't occur.
