QUESTIONS

  • I've been married for over 7 years I did an annulment but Tucson courts are saying its invalid because we have been married longer then 90 days and I was supposed to do a dirvoce not an annulment. Need someone to let me know if I am legally annulled or do I need to reapply and do a divorce.
  • If the water heater in the condo unit I rent has been faulty & running 24/7 causing the electric bill to be MUCH greater than it *should* be (once it was finally checked out & dealt with the hourly charges dropped by 80-90%) how should I proceed re:bills? $200-$300 for 900sqft 2bd1bth before but *now* once fixed it's ~$80. I began asking the owner in late June/July to have someone check this out as it was not accurate (he insisted the electric be in his name--leaving me unable to speak to/arrange anything without going through him), but he dragged his feet for months until now here we are.

  • I'm on the board of my HOA and one of our new members is performing tasks around the property that are not authorized. He's even contact the City of Mesa police to have a vehicle ticketed on the property. When attempted to discuss the issue with the board member he became VERY hostile by verbal comments and threats. What actions do we as a board need to take in order to remove him? And is there any legal recourse that we need to abide by?
  • If a person is renting in an apartment complex and the landlord does not maintain the pool what are the rights of the tenants. The pool is green and pool care company reports landlord does not want to pay for all the right chemicals. This has been on going for 2 months at least.

  • I have co signed for my adult son for the last 3 years. A new property management company took over the lease for the last 3 month. The new property management company did not inform me that they took over the lease. My son gave a 30 day notice on January 5 2018. He paid January rent. The new property management company says he is responsible for February rent as well. They are informing me now that I need to pay February because I am a co signer. (My son is now a student and can not afford the rent) Question: Are we responsible for February 2018 rent because the 30 days went from 01/05/2018?
