QUESTIONS

  • My wife is an adopted child, does that give my mother in law any rights? We currently have a 17 mo. old child together and are getting the finalization of a nasty divorce. The woman dislikes me and I feel she will negatively inflence my daughter.
  • I was evicted for nonpayment of rent March 31. April 2, I notified landlord with letter stating demand for whereabouts and costs for moving and storage of my property. Landlord replied with "when you pay me what you owe, plus moving and storage expenses, then we will talk." Landlord then gave me a $4500 moving and storage bill (her handwriting) in which same moving company quoted me no more than $1800. On the 20th day we contacted landlord where she said it is considered abandoned and that if we contacted her anymore she would file harassment charges on us. What do we do?
  • I've had no hot water for over ten days, the manager says there working on it what can I do?
  • Am I legally required to return an engagement ring after the wedding has been called off?
  • If you set aside misdemeanor conviction of domestic violence in state of Arizona are you still subject to penalties of still being unable to own a fire arm?
  • i recently quit a job because my employer altered my contract without my permission and presented it as the original . now she won't pay me my last paycheck. is there an organization that can help me with a inexpensive lawyer (at least for a consultation) or should i take this to small claims court?
  • My Ex decided that I could have our two boys for the school year. As for the clild support she was to be giving me the whole amount back, but she seems to have an excusse every week. Now she wants to take them home back to AZ in December (we are in Sacramento)and have them go to school there. what can i do, when none of this is through the court system. The boys have come along way since they have been here.
  • My step-daughter is living in AZ with her aunt and uncle. We are trying to find out how to give them temporary custody or a temporary power of attorney for her.
  • The home I'm renting (leased through August 2015) was foreclosed on and there's a new owner. Do I have to pay rent to the new owner if I'm leaving in 6 weeks? Or do they have to give me an eviction notice? The new owner is demanding rent, but she doesn't have the deed yet, just a proof of purchase receipt.
  • My son's dad and I have joint legal and physical custody. The order has been in place since 2006 (my son was 5 years old at the time). He is now 14 and indicating that he wants to live with his dad. However, his dad doesn't have him the time allotted due to his work schedule. He's only able to take him to school two days per month. We live close to each other and to his school. The plan has worked well for the 10 1/2 years. I think he just doesn't like my rules. How will the courts look at this as far as allowing my son to decide.
