QUESTIONS

  • Can an arrest for domestic violence be expunged that occured 1996 where the case was dropped. No physical violence ocurred and no injury ever happened.
  • I applied for my service connected disability benefits in Aug of 2010, I received 70% sc Aug of 2012, but IU denied. Requested DRO, denied! see the travel board on July 23rd, asked for time frame, told I can expect her decision in 1-2 YEARS! I have tons of proof in my file that I'm unemployable. My questions are: 1)Do I have any recourse, or can she really make me wait for another year or 2? 2)I am currently on SSI (unemployable) incompetent for VA purposes (UE)eligible but not viable for VA Voc Rehab (UE)is there anything that can be done to require them to pay me benefits I deserve?
  • We gave a deposit hold to a real estate agent who said it was to keep our application in first place. In order to rent the house, they were needing 6 months rent ahead of time. She received the hold on the 16th, we submitted an incomplete application on the 17th and on the 21st she requested the remainder. On the 22 I informed her that we would not be able to provide the 6 months of prepaid rent to her as we originally thought and that otherwise we were not eligible to rent the property. She is now saying that we have no right to our hold. On the application it says deposits can be refunded
  • We had a water leak in our backyard. We notified the landlord in writing three times , but it took one month for them to fix it. Our water bill has now doubled. We wrote to them that we would like them to pay the half exceeding our normal amount--they have not responded. What are our rights?
  • I have a 2 year old son and his bio-father has never really been in his life. We went through a custody hearing and he was given some visitation but now is wanting to sign his rights over. We have mutually agreed on this. How would we go about doing this? I am married and have a stable house hold.
  • I have lived with my boyfriend for 2 years. We were evicted from our home for nonpayment and put all of our possessions in storage. We owe a large bill for the storage of our belonings to the moving company. I will be paying the bill and moving into an apartment without my boyfriend. Since I need to take everything out of storage to avoid further bills, can I keep my boyfriend's possessions as well as mine? I don't want to have to pay to store his stuff.
  • I moved into a condo where the walls are extremely thin. I am a middle unit and have no problems with the unit to my left, but the noise to my right. HOA board members, neighbors, and police officers have been in my unit to witness the noise. The noisy neighbor is a renter. We had a mandatory meeting with myself (owner), the renters, the HOA board, and the other owner, to no avail. The HOA wants me to get incident numbers for every time I make a noise complaint (at least 2x/wk). They say they fine the owner per complaint, but this has been continuous since Nov. It's Aug. What can I d0?
  • What are my rights if I am kicked out by family member?
  • Am I covered by the FMLA?
  • I am 15 years old and pregnant my mother has filed a P.O on the father but now wants to sign for us to get married on my 16th birthday . How will that work?
