QUESTIONS

  • I have been living in my rental house for 7 months. The plumbing in the kitchen and bathtub keeps backing up and The landlord has had the plumbers out seven times and still cannot fix the problem. The plumbers told us it was bad pipes and the landlord will not spend the money to fix them. So I cannot use my washer or dryer and when I take a shower I have to stand in the water that backs up. Is that grounds to be able to break my lease?
  • Does AZ expedite people back to their home states because they willing unpaided child support?
  • After a lengthy custody battle, where the mother changed her mind about custody many times, my fiance won sole physical custody and joint legal decision making. The mother was only granted every other weekend due to abuse, neglect and drug convictions. The children and dad lived with dad's mother, where once he got a job he left the kids in the care of their paternal grandmother, who then allowed the mother to move in. The mother has since turned the oldest child against his dad, but my fiance wants his son to move in with me so that he can see him. What can be done? Should we call the cops?
  • I am 19, I moved away from home when I was 17. I have since then have lived with my boyfriend and gone to school. I am finishing HS and will be getting ready to make some decisions for college. I do not work. Would I be eligible for AHCCS?
  • I am currently looking for a home to rent and have a profile on a housing site. I recently inquired about a rental home. The homeowner contacted me and asked me a series of questions. She then text me how I afford rent and utilities on Long Term Disability and also stated she is worried that my boyfriend who would be on the lease works out of town. My question is are they allowed to profile you like that. Clearly I wouldn't inquire in the home if we could not afford it. She asked if I was aware of the rental price and I expressed we pay more now where we live. She set a showing and now ignores my call
  • My 16 year old son was taken to the emergency room for taking pills and scratching his arm. There is no disputing that he needs inpatient care to help with his depression. The hospital has been very helpful, but are telling us that he may be transfered to a facility that we are not comfortable sending him to. What rights do we have when it comes to making sure that he goes to a facility we have investigated and approve of? We do not want him to go to a place that has terrible staff and facility reviews, and are looking out for his best interest.
  • if your felonies is 14 years or older can you have them set a side?
  • My ex-husband was ordered to pay child support to me when we divorced in 2003. The state this was issued in was Nevada. Since then, we had both relocated individually to California, and now I am currently residing in Arizona since 09/07. Unfortunately, the payments were made by personal check, if at all, and now I do not know where he lives or what his telephone number is. Is there any way to collect child support now for my 2 children?
  • I filed termination of month to month tenancy, summoned delivered, went to court the renter has to leave by dec,1 the renter has not paid rent I now have a 5 day notice to give the renter my question is can I place the notice on their door, or does it have to be done by the police, what if she stays away from the home and says she did not get the notice? can I place the notice on the car, do I have to give it to her in person? I do not have her mailing address to send a certified copy ty denise kaldes email [email protected]
  • Can a landlord, as part of the lease, require the tenant to agree to only require 12 hours entry notice? Our new lease includes a provision that acknowledges the appropriate section of the ARS, but does not mention the 'two days' requirement. Quoted here... "Tenant agrees that Landlord, its agents and contractors, shall have the right to enter into the leased premises, or any portion thereof, upon twelve (12) hours oral or written notice to Tenant, for the purpose of inspecting the same or performing such repairs or maintenance as the Landlord deems reasonably necessary.
