  • My severely disabled (non verbal, non ambulatory) 20 year old son’s health status has declined to the point that his mom and I have agreed not to take any extraordinary intervention. He is being followed at home by Hospice of the Valley. We are being challenged by the treating hospitals to produce a medical POA to recovery his medical records. Given his current medical status the possibility of him surviving more than a couple of weeks are doubtful. Is there an easy and inexpensive way to get guardianship of him and should we?

  • Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. I have 2 siblings and a step sibling who are sole beneficiaries of a trust. My step dad passed almost a year ago. We have heard nothing about the status of the trust. All of his personal property has been sold and presumably those funds have been added to the trust. None of us are contesting the distribution of funds. How long should it generally take for us to hear when we may receive our inheritance and how can I follow up on the courts progress?   • City did work at my mom & dads 10teaes ago and they broke their sewer line they repaired it and they have had problems ever cents this past month they had a plumber come out and dig it up and they charge them $5000 shouldn't the city still be obligated because they're the ones that broke the sewer line in the first place to get it repaired again or to replace line if they didn't do the gas project they wouldn't have this problem
  • We rent a home through a property manager. We received a fine from the HOA regarding my husbands work truck. This rule is in a design builds document that we never received or agreed to at move in. We are refusing the fees and think this should void our lease since we only signed the CC&r's and the rules and regs. We weren't told about this and never would have rented a house that didn't allow a work truck. Anything I can do from here?

  • I was in a chapter 13 with my only debt being my mortgage. I found out Monday my house has been sold at auction. I never received any type of notifications that my chapter 13 had been dismissed,or any notifications that I was in foreclosure, as a matter of fact I had sent the mortgage co $4,000 the previous month. I believe the sale of my house was illegal since I was never notified..Is this true, if I am never given the opportunity to save my house which are required by law and can I do anything about it now that it's been sold?
  • Our lease has no provision in regarding pest control and landlord being able to charge for pest control services if infestation is found. Our landlord is trying to do this to residents who are mostly SMI or disabled who only means is a monthly check and being on sec 8 or home inc. They don't understand they have rights and are afraid of being evicted as this is what they've been told. I know Residents whohave requested pest service and not received due to not being put on list for service and apts that have bug problems or infestations are being rented then tenants blamed for.   • I have been approved for FMLA and I have resubmitted forms 3 times already for clarification on how many times I need to be away from my job to tend to my daughter who has renal failure and my job keeps requesting the Dr. to give specific dates and times I need to be away when my daughter condition is unpredictable. We don't know how many times out of the month she will become sick and I have to leave work. Am I being harassed by my employer?
