Financial Assistance for Immigrants who are Seniors
Is there any financial assistance available for seniors who are immigrants?
Yes, there are various financial assistance programs for qualified immigrants. The Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES) Relatives as Parents Program (RAPP), Family Caregiver Support Program and Kinship Care Program provides information and assistance to grandparents and other kinship caregivers.
The Arizona Long Term Care System (ALTCS) provides institutional, community-based and home-based care, along with medical care for those who qualify.
AHCCCS may be able to provide health insurance or help with Medicare expenses.
The DES State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) provides health and long-term care insurance information to Medicare eligible Arizonans, their families and caregivers.
There are also special programs for elder refugees. Individuals in the Refugee Resettlement Program (RRP) may qualify for cash assistance. For more information on these programs, contact your local human services department or Area Agency on Aging.

I have received a notice through a realtor that my mortgage co. is offering me a Relocation Assistance Agreement. This is an old home built in 1954 and is in need of some repairs. They will proceed with eviction if I do not sign the agreement. How long do Eviction Proceedings take?
