Am I legally able to move out of state with my son, if the father is on the birth certificate? He has been active in our sons life as well as paying for his needs. I have a court order of no contact with my ex girlfriend but she is living in my house not paying any bills nor is she on the lease, but i cannot return home because i have to stay away from her. What can be done? I sent a letter to the courts ask for an amendment also with a letter from the landlord telling me to get her out of the house because she is not on the lease or i will be evicted. But again i cant go home to . Basically she can just staywith free rent eating grapes with legs kicked up.

I am not married to my daughters father, we recently split due to domestic violence. I am talking with him and his lawyer to get a resolution before our temporary orders hearing. The only term we are not agreeing on is that I want to stipulate that my daughter and I can relocate to Colorado in a year. His attorney keeps saying the courts will not accept that even if we come to an agreement on everything else before our court date. I spoke to an attorney who told me the opposite. How do I word this to his attorney or is his attorney right?

Our grandaughter has lived in our home since birth. Parents used to live with us, the moved out in March but did not take the baby. She is currently still living in our home, they have moved 3 different times since March. Mom is a minor she was arrested for domestic violence, but charges were dropped. Father was in jail for domestic violence too but charges were dropped. We provide for the baby and take care of her 95% of the time what is the chance of gaining custody?

I live with my boyfriend it's his home I've lived here for 15 years he is very abusive verbally and physically at times when he is drunk he has put a chain WITH a lock on the gate so I cant leave or come he does this when i have to go to appointments he refuses to take me so there for i have to find my own way to get to and from appointments I was in a car accident in 2019 which makes it difficult for me to have to climb the fence TO get in and out is there something I can do that will not cause me being the one that has to leave the home because it's his home I've lived HERE 15 yrs
