QUESTIONS

  • I was arrested when I told the officer that I hit my ex-boyfriend. He had thrown a blanket over me and grabbed me. I fought back out of fear. My roommate intervened and my ex left before the police arrived. My ex threatened me if I told the police anything that got him in trouble, so I didn't know what to tell them. I got arrested because I said I hit my ex. My ex gave no statement, hasn't been in contact with the prosecutor, and there isn't any evidence that I did anything but protect myself. My roommate was there and is a witness. Can I possibly be found guilty for protecting myself?
  • I moved to Arizona with my children due to a domestic violence sitaution, their father resides in Indiana is the stated obligated to inform him the children are placed with cps
  • I live in TX. My daughter and her mother moved to AZ 2 years ago. I paid support and maintained telephonic contact. During this time, unknown to me, the mother became a heroine addict and gave temporary custody to the grandmother. When I was informed of the situation, I attempted to gain custody of my daughter and the grandmother, who worked for Pima Co. Superior Court, filed for permanent custody. With our court date set for Nov 4th and my plane and hotel paid, the court calls me and says they changed the date. Is that even legal with less than 24 hours notice? Do I have any recourse?
  • What if my husband has control over my phone and computer with media scanner on them? i can rename a file or try to reset my phone or computer and all the same info are still on them. i have tried to do this with my phone while my husband is in another part of our trailer and he gets mad at me and says if i ruin his phone he'll break mine?
  • My daughter refuses to go to her moms, what happens if she doesnt go? She is being emotionally abused by her mom. Also, can i file for emergency custody if i can prove it?
  • My boyfriend was arrested last night for aggravated assault against me. I told the police that he has a history of mental illness and that he needed to go to a psychiatric hospital but they took him to jail anyway. I am not pressing charges but I am afraid the state will. How do I help him get the charge dropped and get mental help?
  • If I have an order of protection and my ex- husband and or wife wants to live near by so that our child could walk to his mothers our father's house, what are the laws for this , I asked the judge, and he said that in the order of protection they no longer state a specific distance however the judge advised me to seek legal advice.
