Medigap

Medigap is supplemental health insurance that can help pay some of the expenses that are not covered by Medicare. For example, it may cover co-payments or some additional costs for a prolonged stay in a skilled nursing facility. As of 2006, new Medigap policies cannot, however, buy cialis offer prescription drug coverage. Medicare now handles such coverage. (See the Medicare article on this webite)

It is important to carefully consider your particular situation in deciding whether this supplemental insurance is worth the extra expense. Contact the State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) Hotline at (800)432-4040. In addition, you can request a copy of Medicare’s publication, Choosing a Medigap Policy: A Guide to Health Insurance for People with Medicare or read and download the Guide from Medicare on-line.

  • I recently moved to Arizona from Oregon. I tried to be seen by a local internist and was refused service without an explanation. I have no conditions which could make me a concern. I asked the office for their evaluation criteria and they would not provide it. If they are going to refuse service, they should at least state the grounds for doing so.

  • I have a question dealing with statute of limitations. I had cosmetic surgery in July 2017. Afterwards I had Ramsey Hunt Syndrome in my left ear. I have lost balance and dizziness problems due to the damage. I had tests performed by a doctor in fall of 2019 which diagnosed the extent of damage from this. Would the statute of limitations be from date of Ramsey Hunt diagnosis or could it be from the date the damage was measured and diagnosed by a doctor?
