My sister recently had a child & her boyfriend signed the birth certificate & the baby has his last name. Recently, they found out he isn't the father. How does he go about removing his name & changing her last name?

My father in law had a stroke in April of 2013 and has been unable to pay his credit card debts including a home equity line of credit through State Farm. He owns a home here here in Phx but has since been relocated to be with other family members in Napa, Ca. in a group home. He receives his usual SS benefits and a small pension of $120 per month, he is also getting his aid and attendance from the V.A. The problem is this, all of his benefits go to his care and he is unable to pay his credit card debts. Since he is no longer living here we are paying his house payment along with the State Farm home equity line of credit since that is like a second mortgage I believe. My question is how do we keep the house in the family and eliminate his credit card debt? which is probably around $20,000. The house doesn't have any equity in it or if it does, it's not much. I moved out of my rental home 2 months ago, 6 months prior to my leasr end date. It was agreed upon mutually by myself and landlord that I could break the lease, as the home was in short sale and an offer had been made on the hone. Today I get an email from my landlord stating that the short sale did not get approved and they are asking for me to pay to have the carpets cleaned, both the front and backyard landscaped and the home cleaned. First off, the home was cleaned when we left and the yard was fine. Can they ask for this to be done 2 mos later because their deal fell through?

under a civil judgement, as the appeal process is pending , do you have to pay the fine?

I have(had) a roommate who Moved out when she lost her job. She hasn't paid rent for 2 months but she left all her belongings here. We've been in contact since she left mid august about picking up her thinggs and she keeps giving me the run around. Just wondering how long do I have to wait to get rid of her belongings?

I have been trying to go through the Department of Children's Services to get my ex wife (who lives in Alabama) to pay child support for almost 3 years now. Is there anything I can do through the legal system to finally get this resolved? Three years is an awfully long time to get a mother to pay child support when it took her a matter of weeks to get the court to issue an income withholding order on me when she was the custodial parent.

My exhusband has just been charged with a DUI while my son was in his car. I have a domestic violence conviction against him 3 years ago. He was recently kicked off our son's baseball team as their coach for hitting another child. I have shared (50/50) parenting time and custody. I want to get full custody. I don't know if the courts will give it to me. I don't have the money to spend on full fledged attorney. What are your thoughts....
