Question: How does my daughter whos children I have custody of,file a petition to regain custody of her children

Answer:

It really depends on additional facts.  Additional important facts include the following:

(1) Do you have a formal order from the court for custody of your grandchildren?  If so, what kind of order is it - is it a guardianship order? Is it a custody order obtained through the family court?

(2) Are the children in your care due to an "informal" agreement (an agreement without involvement of the courts)?

Because even a general answer to your question is so fact dependent,  you may want to speak with an attorney regarding your situation.
