  • I leased my house to a couple with a teenage daughter. It has been month to month after the first year. The wife signed the lease in her name only and then the couple divorced. She moved out and the ex-husband stayed with his daughter in the house. Is the ex-husband still liable for the provisions of the lease his ex-wife signed? Or is the ex-wife responsible? Thank you.
  • My grandson cannot afford an attorney. Is there a way he can file for custody of his son free of charge?
  • A friend of mine who lived in an RV park recently died. He left his RV to me. At the time of his death he was renting on a yearly basis, and was paid up through May 2018. Park management says that the lot rental payments are not transferable, and that I must sign a new rental agreement. Have looked through Title 33 Chapter 19, but not sure if anything there applies. Is it true that the park owner can "keep the rent," in a case like this?

  • I signed a contract with my current landlord to move into another unit on the property, effective Feb 15. The contract was signed by all parties, and I paid a $150 transfer fee on Jan. 31.
