QUESTIONS

  • My ex-husband and I divorced in 1992 in KS and had 3 minor children at the time. My ex rarely paid his support and actually owes his children thousands of dollars. The question: the children are adults who have been residents of AZ for many years. They now really need funds and I'm unable to help. How would I initiate an audit of monies owed, and where do I start since none of us have been residents of KS for many years. My ex resides in SC. I have been told there are no time limitations to child support.
  • I’ve lived in a trailer park for over 20 years and purchased my trailer from the park which I own free and clear. I’m very low income and now my landlord hit me with an eviction notice. I have no money to move my trailer and no money for a deposit on another trailer. Can he just kick me out of my house for no reason and take my trailer from me? Please help
  • I currently have sole custody of my child since his father was not around for the pregnancy or birth and is not even listed on the birth certificate. We were never married. He filed for custody and we have trial in November. If I get activated in the military indefinitely and have to move before our court date what happens? I have been the primary caregiver to our son since birth.

  • My ex husband and I currently have joint custody of our 5 year old. We both don’t have any family here in AZ. I feel it’ll be best for our child to relocate with me back to my home state due to family being there to not only assist in raising but just to know them. I’m also currently in a long distance relationship and pregnant for a man that lives near my family. I’d have a better paying job if I relocated as well. What are my possibilities on being able to relocate our child with me to be with my side of the family(and closer to his side) and also with my soon to be new family?
  • One of my roommates (cotenants) moved out of our house. We still have 5 months of the lease left. The 2 of us left dont feel comfortable living with a stranger. The agreement we had originally was wed split the rent equally and all of the utilities. The roommate who left, still has possession of keys to house and her belongings there. What are my rights to get the rest of her rent paid?
  • My child who I have custody of due to taking his mother to court for mental heath reasons. With that being said I have taken the paternity with it saying I’m the father, which I knew. what do I do now to get my name on my sons birth certificate. I have his birth certificate with me. His mother will not agreee to sign the necessary paperwork for me to be added onto his birth certificate. What packet would I need to go down to the court and get this case started. The end result is be put on the birth certificate and proceed to change his last name to mine bc mother is not present / active.
  • My husband wants to adopt my daughter, which is his stepdaughter. Her father has been out of her life for 7 years and makes no contact. Would he have to give up parental right or can he adopt her without us having to contact him?
