My children are 15 and 9. I would like to take us on a trip to Europe. When looking at the passport papers it says I need the "other" parent to sign off on Form DS-3053, consent for a minor child to get a passport. My children's father hasn't had ANY contact with them in the past 9+ years. Is there a way around this? Can I file something with Arizona court? Doesn't the length of time count as abandonment by him? Thank you.

I am asking this question on behalf of my dear friend who is a senior and does not own a computer in which to ask this question. A year ago, my friends son bought a home in Youngtown, Arizona, for his mom 76 yrs of age and his dad who is 84 yrs of age, to live in until they die, rent free. Today he wants to evict them. What can they do? Do they have any rights? What are AZ laws regarding unwritten tenancy agreements?

I see a lot of doctrine that establishes the means of acquiring a Protection Order, but I see nothing in regards to the ramifications of filing a false one. So my question is; does filing a false Protection Order, also include immunity from prosecution? Is there any justice for anyone who has been the victim of a system remedy, which has been abused to the point where it has become weapon, rendering it ineffective? Its ironic that a system created to help victims, in turn makes victims. Was that the intended purpose, to deprive fathers of their children and create a plethora problems?

On 1/2/07 my husband was taken to court by his daughter's Mother for child support. He was ordered to pay the previous 3 yrs of arrears even though the mother had moved the child and had no contact with my husband for 8 yrs. In the paperwork, he was allowed to claim her 2 of every 3 yrs on taxes, but she will not give him the SSN# of the child. What can he do to obtain this information? The SSA office will not assist him with the BC of the child and his DL. What can we do?

I was charged with disorderly conduct-fighting.I spent the night in jail. I plead not guilty and walked out. I believed I would be able to have an public defender because of my low income and spending the night in jail. I believed 100% I would be provided an attorney. I forgot to mention that the said truck was in fact my personal truck and my son had the privilege of driving it, I would not have this charge. The charge was because I told my son that I to move his truck or I would slash his tires. Can I have help with this on my record please? Thank you for your time. Tanya Winters
