QUESTIONS

  • I am a landlord for a home in Queen Creek. I've been notified by 2 neighbors that the tenants in my home have 5+ dogs that are a barking nuisance and are conducting a breeding business. The rental contract only discloses 3 dogs and no breeding was ever mentioned. I want to know what my liability is as a landlord if the dogs get out and bite a neighbor. Am I required to maintain a tight fenced yard? Is the continual barking nuisance my concern or should I tell neighbors to call animal control?
  • we are married, my wife and i had our differences, we were getting back together, and one day she got sick, and then passed away, but before that, we had 3 girls together, but now the grandmother says that I abandoned them, and was served with paperwork. do i still have the right to be their father, if we are still leagally married? I do have the right to go there with an officer and pick up my children.
  • what does comp. case mean?
  • I share joint custody and my sons father drops him off at his siblings home and my son stays there most days when he is not under my care. He sleeps on their couch at night. Can I possibly get full custody if the other parent is doing this? Also, my son has a lot of trouble learning in school and he does have an IEP and he gets no help academically when he is with other parent and I have to always pick up where my son last left off in regards to reading and homework and it hurts him academically because this is only being done part time. Can either of those situations help me get primary care
  • Is there a law that protects the renter of a mobile home space from eviction from eviction if the renter is medically incapable of paying rent?
  • My daughter and her son have lived with me and my husband since my grandson was born. the father of the baby left when he was 3 months old and moved back to his home state of KY. He did sign the birth certificate and my daughter is going for child support through the state, but the father does not call, visit or show any interest in my grandson. My question is, what would happen if my daughter became ill or passed away- by law does my grandson have to move to KY to live with a biological father he has never known or is there something I can do now for reassurance this baby won't be taken.
  • the employer charged with paying me unemployment has now asked me to do a one time very small project for a couple hundred dollars as a 1099. I'm afraid of accepting this work because I will still need unemployment benefits after this project is done. will i lose unemployment for a one time project job paying very little? Do the questions asking me about work on the weekly filing have anything to do with 1099 work or just fulltime work?
  • What if your landlord is making you stay 60 days over the end of the lease because they fail to have you come in to fill out the vacate form but was informed face to face and by email of your hardship to continue residency? You did however give the a 30 day notice!
  • I am plaintiff in a civil claim; lndlrd did not return sec deposit OR an itemized list of damages w/in 14 days; she claims over 8K in damages which I did not do.She claims she mailed the itemized list. I NEVER REC'D it; I filed in small claims; she ignored 4 attempts by the constable to be served. I motioned to serve, and constable served her. In her small claims answer she includes a letter w/ a date (w/in the 14 days), but it was apparently mailed by first class mail. I DID'T receive this. How do I ask to enter premises to see if item was replaced.I am in discovery process now. Thank you.
  • I am a retired military member, divorced. Under the terms of the divorce decree (modifiable) my ex receives a percentage of my military retirement pay, plus a spousal support payment. My Veteran's Administration disability rating was recently increased, which will have the effect of her net retirement payment being decreased. Will this give her grounds to request a modification to cover the difference? Can I expect any protection under ARS 25-318.01(3)?
